The
scope comes with a 1 1/4" 26mm eyepiece.
The
eyepiece deal adds additional 1 1/4" 42mm, 30mm 20mm, 12mm, 9.7mm,
6.4mm eyepieces in a aluminum carrying case and plastic bolt cases
for each eyepiece. The Field of View is 52 degrees. |

- Series 4000 f/6.3 Focal Reducer/ Field Flattener
Threaded
on to the telescope's rear cell the f/6.3 Focal Reducer/Field Flattener
reduces the telescope's focal ratio by a factor of 0.63 from f/10
to f/6.3 thus reducing exposure times by about 50%.

Illuminated
Reticle Eyepiece
Has
a red-illuminated variable intensity/duty cycle
crossline reticle pattern controlable from the Autostar handbox for easy
night visibility. It allows the observer to confirm the telescope's
tracking accuracy during an extended exposure. |

4000 8mm - 24mm Zoom Eyepiece
High-resolution,
7-element multi-coated optics with 55° field at 8mm. Graduated scale in
1mm units indicates exact focal length in use. |

Photo-Visual Flip-Mirror
System
Used
for CCD imaging or for 35mm astrophotography. Flip mirror "down" to center the image while viewing with an eyepiece at 90°; flip mirror "up" to pass light on to the CCD chip or 35mm camera film plane. |

Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color
Filters
Color filters enhance visual and photographic image contrast of the Moon and planets.
Filters thread into the barrel of any Meade 1.25" eyepiece. The filters
come in 12 colors for lunar and planetary applications, and in Neutral Density as a lunar glare-reduction filter. |
