I saw this note on the web when I first started using my scope about a SPRINGY THINGY device which used a washer and some springs to hold the tripod bolt and bracing system in place when mounting the scope. This was way before the good gentlemen at Scopestuff offered this product. So I followed the instructions and made the Springy Thingy for myself. It is really a simple and cool device when using your Meade Tripod.
